C04 - 1 DAY GAS CUTTING REFRESHER

Refresher training on Gas cutting and safe assembly of Oxy-acetylene gas cutting equipment

Purpose of Course
To monitor, re instruct and maintain the safety standard of staff. Trainsafe would recommend a 1-year period due to the dangerous and explosive nature of this equipment.

Designed for
Person with an existing licence for C01, C02, C03 that have previously been instructed and hold a Cylinder Assembly Licence
Existing Welder /Burners with cutting experience but no formal training.

Pre-requisites
None

Learning Objectives
Colour codes of cylinders
Left and right threads
Equipment relating to pressure compatibility
Safe methods of assembly
Set correct pressures for the equipment and task
Use safe systems of work
Transport and store equipment in the correct manner
Making safe cuts on a range of thicknesses
