Objectives Pre
operational checks Fluid levels. Tyres and wheels. Brakes. Instruments.
Horn. Flashing beacon. Hydraulic. Safety devices. Steering. Battery levels. Check
emergency lowering. Check safety Harness. Check outriggers if fitted
Task 1 Check ground conditions. Check overhead obstructions
/ power lines. Check Working area and place appropriate warning signs. ensure
route and working area is clear.
Task 2 Travel and set up machine in preparation to commence
work. Elevate platform to pre-determined height and location.
Task 3 Travel and set up machine in confined space. Elevate
platform to maximum height. Use all necessary controls to slew and manoeuvre into
position, simulate task i.e., repair light fitting etc. Lower and make ready for
travel and move off.
End of shift Park safely remove ignition key and re-fuel
or put on charge.
