enable the employee to understand the risks associated with manual handling operations.

provide an understanding of the kinetic principles of safe lifting, carrying and
how these apply to the work undertaken. | | To

or reduce risk from manual handling operations. |

the employee is aware of the requirement to report any physical condition which
put him or her at greater risk from manual handling operations. |
