SYSTEMS TOWER SAFETY (ZIP UP)

Purpose of Course:
To instruct the operator in the correct and safe way to assemble and use of aluminium assembly towers and make them aware of the safe methods of working at heights using a tower

Designed for
For persons that would have used a ladder to work at heights and is now prevented from doing so by legislation

Part 1. Safety Awareness Session Covering:
Safety Precautions necessary when using Mobile Towers,
Identification & function of all Components,
Inspection Criteria for all Components,
Erection Procedures for Mobile Towers,
H.S.E. Guidance Notes GS 42 & GS 15,
The Construction (Health, Safety & Welfare) Regulations 1996 & The Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1992,
Protection of the public and other Employees,

Part 2. Preliminary Checks:
Prepare & inspect all components,
Check ground conditions,
Check for overhead obstructions & power lines,
Check for other obstructions,
Cordoned area off to other personnel and traffic

 
Part 3. Erect & dismantle a Basic Mobile Tower

Part 8 Inspected, Cleaned & Remove all Components from Site
Reported any defects
Returned all Components to store
